Suitable for
- Suitable: Coil production lines with a short drying tunnel
- Suitable: Mild coastal and tropical humid sites, C3 to C4
- Suitable: Copper and aluminium coils coated before assembly
- Suitable: Projects where cost per coil matters and exposure is moderate
Not suitable for
- Not suitable: Shoreline sites rated C5 — use PG-S1
- Not suitable: Chemical, wastewater or fertilizer exposure — use PG-C
- Not suitable: Small repair jobs; the mixed batch must be used within 8 hours
- Not suitable: Shipments where the coating could freeze in transit

Compare with other systems
| System | Film thickness | Cure | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| PG-S1 Waterborne polysiloxane (sol-gel) | 5–15 μm | Thermal or ambient | New coils before shipment, OEM dip lines |
| PG-S2 Polysiloxane-urethane clearcoat | 5–10 μm | 160 °C / 60 min | Aluminium radiators, bakeable heat exchangers |
| PG-WThis system Waterborne two-component | 5–10 g/m² per side | 80 °C touch-dry | Coil lines, mild coastal and humid sites |
| PG-C Air-dry two-component, chemical-resistant | 20–40 μm | Ambient 72 h | Complete units, chemical and wastewater sites |
Where PG-W fits
PG-W is a coil-line coating. It dries fast at moderate temperature, is applied thin, and handles copper and aluminium, so it fits into coil production without slowing the line.
It is the cost-effective choice for inland and mildly coastal sites. Sites within a few hundred metres of the sea, or with industrial or chemical exposure, need PG-S1 or PG-C.
Handling
PG-W is waterborne, so drums and mixed batches must be kept from freezing.

How long can a mixed batch be used?
Within 8 hours of mixing base and hardener at 3 to 1 by mass. Lines mix per shift and record the mix time in the batch record.
Why is the film given in g/m² instead of μm?
The data sheet specifies dry film weight per side of the fin. It is measured by weighing panels before and after coating.
Can PG-W be compared directly with PG-S1 salt-spray hours?
No. PG-W is rated under GB/T 1771-2007 and PG-S1 under GB/T 10125-2021, with different pass criteria, so the hours are not comparable.
