Coil Coating Repair Kits for Field Application

technicians coating a large coil outdoors from a hose-fed applicator

What we can process

What a field kit is for

  • Touch-up of scratches, bent fins and damage found on arrival or after installation.
  • Recoating of installed coils that are still sound but were delivered uncoated.
  • Maintenance of coated coils after years in service.

What decides the result

Field work depends on cleaning. Salt and corrosion products must come off and the coil must be dry before coating, or the new film traps them against the metal. The application guide covers cleaning, masking, application, cure times and weather limits.

Why PG-S1 is the default

PG-S1 is listed as general cargo on its data sheet, which makes it simple to ship by sea or air, and it cures by ambient moisture where no oven is available. It must be protected from freezing in transit.

Coating options

Selected by site corrosivity. Salt-spray hours from different standards are not compared across systems.

Which system is in the kit?

PG-S1 by default, cured by ambient moisture on site. PG-C is supplied where chemical exposure calls for a thicker film; it is solvent-based and expected to ship as dangerous goods.

Can a kit restore a badly corroded coil?

No. A kit protects coils that are still sound and repairs local damage. Coils with loose fins or leaks should be replaced.

Do you apply the kits on site?

No. Kits are supplied to local applicators and maintenance teams, with the application guide.
