What Does a Coil Coating Warranty Cover?
Key facts
| Usually covered | Usually excluded |
|---|---|
| Missed areas and incomplete coverage | Mechanical damage after delivery |
| Loss of adhesion, flaking | High-pressure washing, harsh cleaners |
| Under-cure | Exposure outside the stated category |
| Film outside the specified range | The unit, compressor and controls |
What the warranty is based on
A coating warranty is tied to the specification: the system, film range, site category and the batch records that show it was applied correctly. That is why the batch QC report matters beyond delivery.
Conditions that keep it valid
Installation without damaging the coil faces, cleaning with low-pressure water and neutral cleaners, and prompt reporting of any damage with photos.
Customer-specified coatings
When we apply a coating you specified, we are responsible for application quality — coverage, film thickness, cure and appearance. The coating’s own performance stays with its manufacturer. The quote and warranty certificate both state this.
What this means for your project
Read the exclusions as carefully as the period. Ask us for the warranty terms that apply to your system and site category.
