Before unpacking
Photograph the packages as delivered. Note crushed face covers, torn wrapping or water inside, and record them on the delivery note.
On the coil
Look at both faces against the light. Thin films are often clear or lightly tinted, so coverage is easier to judge at the edges and collars than on the flat faces. Bent fins usually mean the film on them has cracked.
Film thickness
A handheld gauge gives rough readings on flat areas such as tube sheets. Readings on fins are unreliable; use the batch thickness record as the reference.
What this means for your project
Report damage with photos within the period stated in the warranty terms. Small areas can be touched up on site before installation.
